Terminal Position Verification
Electromechanica developed a test system to detect connector terminals not fully seated in an automotive assembly. The system verifies the correct number of terminals and preloads the terminals to check for loose pins. This system uses a unique double acting device carrier to hold and position the connector being tested. This PLC based fixture eliminates operator induced variability and ensures consistent test force and displacement while allowing multiple connector configurations to be tested with minimal changeover time.
