Electronic Lock Test System

This manufacturing fixture was designed to meet the needs of a high security lock manufacturer that required 100% inspection and test of a high mix and high volume of lock models. Previously the manufacturer used multiple fixtures to separately program and subsequently test various locks. This was slow and required considerably more skilled personnel to operate. Electromechanica designed this automated system to consolidate all programming and operations while reducing test time and test labor expenses.

The Electronic Lock Test System has eight (8) individual test bays that can operate asynchronously providing maximum product throughput. A robust test bay interface design allows operators to rapidly load and remove tested product. The test system is controlled by a custom developed LabVIEW interface that sequences the tests and records all test results for near real time statistical process control (SPC).
